Charitable thoughts

Tonight at church MFS signed us up to bring the gifts up before communion. I was glad that I ironed our clothes and slapped some mascara on.

Julia: What gifts?

MFS: The wine, bread and collection. We bring them up to the priest.

Julia: Where does the money go? To the stores in town? (Always concerned about the money...you know that was on her Christmas list. Right up there with a diamond.)

K: No. Not the stores. Stores have money because we buy things from them.

Julia: Well, where does it go?

MFS: It goes to help people.

Julia: You mean the people that don't do anything?

MFS: (Stifling laughter) Well that's one way of putting it.

Really people. She honestly IS a caring, charitable and thoughtful child.

Hilarious! Also love the picture of the 3 monkeys. So adorable.

(And I could so see MFS snickering at Jujube's comment).

I'm so glad you write all this down... it is priceless!!!

One of these days I'm going to have to read this Dave Ramsey business. I'm just glad that I have a mortgage to PAY before I turn 35 ;)
