TGIF?

Ella had her 2 month check up and it all went splendidly until the soreness of the 4 in 1 vaccine combo hit her like the nurse predicted. Her pain brought me to tears this afternoon and I was very happy that Tylenol is allowed now. She seems to be resting better this evening after all the nursing and cuddling this afternoon.

Ella's current stats: 13 lb 8 oz and 23-3/4 inches long

On a pain-free note, tonight we celebrated the anniversary of Julia's baptism and had dinner at Red Robin with their bottomless mac and cheese. Friday fish 'n chips for the adults! Despite the fact that she already wore a dress to school today, she insisted that she change into a more "appropriate party dress" complete with sparkly gold shoes. How can you deny such enthusiasm? She looked so good I had to change out of my spit-up covered shirt not to feel like a schlump. After dinner when our waiter came to ask if we would like to order dessert, she turned to him and said in a very direct and grown-up tone, "Yes, we are having ice cream." She keeps me laughing.

Have a great weekend!
