Virginia Zoo

Attractions in Virginia are a mixed bag and sometimes you just go for the novelty and to get out of the house. (That reminds me, I've got to put Dinosaur Land on the to-do list.) After taking the kids to Jamestown solo, I threw more caution to the wind and planned a trip to the zoo in Norfolk. Our friends joined us and we had our own mini preschool field trip. We absolutely loved the zoo. Beautiful gardens, great flow, awesome variety of animals AND water features to help beat the heat. It is safe to say that we'll be making a return trip with bathing suits.

After picnic and playtime at an adjacent park, we headed home. Well we did make a short stop in Williamsburg for some Sno-to-Go. It was a scorcher.

Today is a much needed home day.  Pajamas and lots of relaxing ahead of us. That is after the laundry and the dishes.
