The big 3-0

A big thank you to all of the birthday wishes! I have been looking forward to turning 30 for some reason. My life has expanded (especially physically!) and I feel like I am just at a better place. I had a great day and am looking forward to an extension of the festivities on Saturday when Mike and I go to my annual birthday dinner at Prospect Hill. (www.prospecthill.com for those of you who need a little romantic getaway)

My big wish for my birthday was to spend some quiet time alone and it was granted. Aunt Lisa watched the kids for the day while I went shopping for Christmas gifts and groceries and had lunch with a friend. We ended the night with a lovely family dinner at La Cocina del Sol. By lovely I mean the service and food were great and the kids behaved (and were served promptly). Couldn't ask for a better dinner out! Jujube and I shared this warm chocolate piece of heaven, but she was more interested in eating all of the ice cream. The funniest part of the night was when we were talking about advertising in the credit card industry and someone made the comment that the "Priceless" campaign from Mastercard was brilliant. Jujube nodding her head in all seriousness said, "Yes, sometimes they do a great job."

A glimpse since 1978 to present.

1978

1988: Laugh all you want...I thought I was cool with my over-sized glasses from Ralph Lauren

1998: The year I met Mike. Hair long and then short.

2008: 32 weeks pregnant with baby #3

Just for fun...Me in 1981, Julia in 2007
We share the same love of shoes!

Happy Birthday, K! Glad you had such a nice day. You know you are a momma when you enjoy grocery shopping without the kids as a treat on your birthday! (I'm right there with you!) Great pics too, we all look so young in the EWC 127 picture--roll away the stone!
