We survived our first long road trip to Knoxville, TN with the kids this weekend. Our friends Greg and Sarah were united in holy matrimony and the wedding was beautiful. We had a great time catching up with friends and watching Julia and Cazin run around the dance floor. We also took the kids to the zoo where Jujube and
Cazin loved the
Bloomin' Butterflies Garden and their new exhibit,
Wee Play Zoo. I think Jujube could have spent hours with the butterflies, although she was not a fan when they landed on her. Though she likes to give butterfly kisses, she does not prefer to receive the real thing. Ella was a great traveler AND she started using a pacifier...a very specific one that I can only find at
CVS when we travel. (Last time I bought this pacifier was April 2007 in Boston. Cazin was 3 months old.)
On a sad note, our dear friend Julie's father, John Gallo died on Sunday. He returned to the Father on Ascension Sunday and also on Julie's birthday, one of the happiest days of his life. Please pray for Johnny, his wife Mary and their family. On Thursday we travel up to NJ for the funeral.
The butterfly garden was very relaxing

Sweet pics. So sad to read about Julie's daddy. Will continue to pray for her family.
Love to all of you.
These are great pictures! Sending prayers to Julie and her family!
Glad you guys had a good weekend. I will keep my eyes open for places here in C'ville that sell the elusive paci.
hey- we were in the smoky mts on that weekend...we must've passed each other on the highway :)
