Boomerang Express

"On the Boo-mer-ang Express, it all comes back to Je-sus." I don't think I will get that song out of my head for a while. And I don't mind one bit when I hear the kids singing it.

Cazin's favorite song of the week was "My Friend."

Julia learned today that "people were fishing on one side of the boat, but they couldn't catch the fish. So Jesus told them to put the net on the other side of the boat. And they caught LOTS of fish!" Our class used a purple net to explain the story and I guess Julia's class had a red net. Or a "red neck" as she called it.

For breakfast today, we made fish and heart pancakes (with sprinkles, of course) to go along with the lesson.

Because we won't be present for the last day of VBS, I had the kids model their shirts. One of their craft sessions entailed coloring iron transfers. I am impressed Cazin's had any color on it.

Have a great weekend! We are heading to ATL to visit friends and drink all the sweet tea my stomach can hold.
