The kids and I are having a blast at VBS. Before sighing and rolling her eyes at me, Julia told me that today she "learned about Jesus walking on the water." She also made a boomerang (while also informing me that it was originally used to hunt, "but now we just play with it."), painted her version of aboriginal art on a rock and gave her offering during Missions. Cazin enjoys the music and yells out "Aw board!" when I sing the theme song. At bedtime Julia stated, "We're going on a field trip tomorrow to see the kangaroos...weellll...maybe we're just riding on a hayride or something like that...Mama, you need to drive me to the outback in Australia to see the kangaroos!"
Maybe we can fit that in between breakfast and R&R time next week...
Day 2 of VBS. Check. Note to self: Praise God. Give thanks. Buy more Clinique T-Zone Shine Control.
