6 months old

This was supposed to be a posting for yesterday, but couldn't quite find time to sit at the computer.

Ella turned 6 months old yesterday and as always I can't believe how fast time has flown. MFS and I are still amazed by her. Her goodness, sweetness, quietness. We enjoy her so much! Here are her 6 month highlights:

  • Ella is sitting up better solo (but not for any length of time).
  • Though not crawling or scooting, she seems to make it around the room pretty well mainly by rolling.
  • She holds her own bottle. I have not started her on solids yet...I'm kind of dragging my feet on that one.
  • She is starting to make sounds like "ba-ba."
  • She reaches for everything with a purpose instead of swatting aimlessly into the air.

I am sorry to say that I did not spend much of her 6 month birthday with her. The kids had spent the day with MFS while I was in Richmond running errands as well as visiting the dentist. I cannot remember the last time I had a cavity which probably means it was when Menudo was on top of the song charts. It turns out I cracked my tooth (when is very foggy, but I'm blaming on the lechon skin from the Phil-American picnic) and that has led to decay. I return next week for a crown. I wish it was one I was wearing on Princess Day. My dampened spirits were uplifted by shopping for vintage 60s & 70s items for Camp Fantastic and baby & household supplies at Costco. Even better, when I got home, MFS took me out to the Bonefish Grill for a date. (Last date: 6 month ago)

Though our schedule seems crazy, we have so so much to thank our Heavenly Father for. He has given us so many blessings and I pray that we continue to center our life around Christ.

Here are a few photos from DYC. The team did an amazing job and worked so incrediably hard. God is good.
