Disbelief. Relief. Jujube is 7 years old today. We spent the car ride to school talking about the day she was born. How two nervous, yet excited parents walked into the hospital on a Monday night for labor induction bright and early the next morning. After 16 long hours of labor and one quick c-section, Julia Anne School was born. Our first born child is such a little lady. All of her interests lean to the creative side. Writing short stories, drawing, reading, crafting, creating new fashions for her stuffed animals, sculpting...I am inspired by her flair, smarts and huge heart. She is an AMAZING big sister. Making breakfast, chores, guiding Cazin through school, entertaining everyone and feeding & changing Max. The little siblings are lost without her, quite frankly.
Julia continues to excel in school in all subjects. She has certainly blossomed under the care of her teacher, Ms. Ciccarone who Julia admires and loves so much.
Since Julia's birthday falls on Ash Wednesday this year, we celebrated early on Monday night. She chose one of her favorite spots, Applebee's, for dinner. On Saturday I take Julia and 5 of her closest friends out to Build-A-Bear and Red Robin. All week she has been constructing her new Lego Friends sets from Lolo and Lola finally happy that Legos has made a product catering to girls.
Happy Birthday to our smart and strong Jujube! You are kind. You are thoughtful. You are understanding. You are so, so good. The world looks brighter and is more interesting when we see it through your eyes. Your light fills our family with warmth and we are so proud of you!
