Memorial Day Weekend

The weekend was so enjoyable despite the heat. Thursday afternoon, Lolo and Lola took a break in their Williamsburg vacation and picked up the kids so that I could work for a friend on Friday. Thankfully the time crept up on me so quickly that I didn't have time to realize and get sad that it was my first night away from baby boy. But the time spent with MFS was just so much fun. We haven't laughed that much in a long time. With the kids in Williamsburg we shopped, ate out and slept soundly for the first time in months.

Saturday we reunited with the kids and spent the day in Richmond checking out our house and looking at other models to get color and decorating inspiration. That evening we went to Mass at St. Edward' and ran into more friends. I'm just getting more and more excited about moving knowing that there are lots of great people on the other side.

Sunday we traveled up to NoVA for the baptism of my nieces, Luciana and Milena. Much of the family was down from NY, so it was great to see everyone and celebrate the twins' new life in Christ.

We spent Monday in Crozet. Mike went Huck Finn on the kids and wrangled them in whitewashing the fence pickets at one of our rental properties. They came home with empty water bottles, sweaty and red-faced. Not to worry, mama had a BBQ feast waiting for them after cool showers and naps.

We were all a little exhausted from the fun activities!
