7 months old

If the the first year of a baby's life would be a song by Garth and Kat it would be entitled, "Oh where, oh where has the time gone?" Or "Buckle your seat belts. We're about to move at warp speed."

Here is Maximilian at 7 months:

Pincer grasp, which means he is starting to feed himself!

Talkative. Max is starting to combine sounds like ah-ba, na-ya, ba-da. Between Ella singing and Max babbling, it is a never ending symphony.

Now that I have my summer haircut, Max can no longer play or pull my locks. But that doesn't stop him from touching my cheeks and holding my nose. He recently discovered that nostrils are fun places for fingers to explore. Mama's aaccessories have become more interesting and he will push my cheeks and hands away to get at the shiny objects.

Playful. Loves peek-a-boo, his walker at Julie's and pretty much anything else he can grab.

Like his big brother, Max is a cuddly baby who loves to be held. Often he likes to place his cheek against mine, or his cheek to my lips for lots of kisses.

Crawling is around the corner. He moves himself around in a circle very quickly and is starting to get up on his knees.
Max is a very happy baby with a short temper. He is working on it, though. He has come up with this half laugh/half whine that accompanies a smile/grimace. This is what I picture him saying. "Mama, I'm trying to be cool, but soon I'm gonna be really mad."

Even though he still invites us to midnight pow-wows in the nursery, we love this little man to pieces.
