Pre-K Graduation

I knew I was a goner as soon as Mrs. McCollough pulled out the TV. Kindergarten registration and pilfering through the uniform closet at Our Lady of Lourdes did not prepare me for the flood of emotion at Cazin's Pre-K graduation. Often I felt a Kleenex tissue on my choulder from the sweet mother sitting behind me.

Cazin has had a wonderful year. At this time last year I was worried how is receptive language delay would affect him in Pre-K. Though still a little bit of a loner, he has grown leaps and bounds in socialization. His best friends this year or "girlfriends" as he likes to say were Olivia and Fay. Though he got along well with the boys, I think they were a little to rough and tumble for him as Cazin prefers quieter, thoughtful play. He is reading fluently. Last summer Cazin first demonstrated that he could read (remember my "Eureka!" moment?) and now he loves to read to Ella. Cazin's favorite topics this year have been outer space and the planets as well as dinosaurs.

On to uniforms, homework and math class for this sweet kid. No turning back now!
