Orientation

This morning we headed to First Baptist for preschool orientation. I planned to take a few photos while we were there, but just as I suspected Cazin had his usual separation hysteria though all 5 of us were present. I was grinning ear to ear as Miss Betty assured me that everything would be fine tomorrow and the weeks to come. I wanted to tell her that I had no concerns whatsoever and I was looking forward to my 2 mornings a week of peace, errands, and maybe coffee/lunch with friends. I will have to do everything in my power to keep myself from shoving him through the door while yelling, "He's all yours!". I am not a clinger. I am a quick kiss and "see you later" kinda mom. Despite his tears this morning and clinging to daddy's pants, I know that he will just love it. He always does. After about 5 minutes he was playing, then crying, then playing, then crying, then playing. The boy will be just fine. Though I may have to rethink curbside drop-off for the first week to further traumatize him. God please be with my sweet boy...and his teachers.

Jujube was just fine. Telling me "I know that" every time I gave her some information on where she will be, what days she will attend lunch bunch, etc. Mrs. Leach and Ms. Sawyer are her teachers. I am beyond excited for her. In transitional kindergarten in addition to the curriculum she will also have spanish, computer and art classes. She even gets to bring her bible on Wednesdays to chapel. Now being the Catholics that we are, Julia has the NRSV (I prefer the NAB). I made sure to clarify that it was indeed okay and that it is the same with the exception of the Deuterocanonical books in the OT. We have spent the afternoon making sure we have everything that we need.

We are beyond blessed to have our kids enrolled at First Baptist ECDC. It is a great program and I know our kids will be loved and nurtured.
