Growing Pains
I should be tearing up I-64 instead of blogging, but I need to take moment. Time is flying way too fast around here and I am running around like a nut case. Packing, cleaning, sweating. Poor Ali got left behind in our hasty exit last night to meet Lola & Lolo. All of the craziness this summer has allowed me to go in deep denial that Jujube is starting Kindergarten. And you know once Kindergarten starts, basically it is college right around the corner. Now that all of the Kindergarten camps have started (ours is in 2 weeks) it has hit me. I start having chest pain and I tear up....there I go again...I'll just type through it...Okay. Last night I did get a reminder how little she still is despite the fact that she is moving into a size 7, she's so tall. We were driving up to meet my parents and do the car/kid switch and she said sadly, "Mommy (she usually now calls me Mom. UGH! Talk about ripping out your heart.) Look. Frankie's tail fell off." She looked so forelorn holding the poor tail. And just like that her face crumpled with big tears rolling down her cheeks. And just like that, I knew my little girl was still in there. I still have some time.
I need prayers. Prayers for the DYC conference. Prayers for my parents as they take the kids to Dutch Wonderland this weekend (strict orders to avoid the Turtle Twirl) and prayers for my growing girl and her mother's heart.

LOVE this post (even though it made ME tear up). LOVE you!
This summer really has flown by. I'll be praying for you guys. Good luck to Julia (and you) when kindergarten camp gets here...you will both do great! Can't wait to read all about it.
