Glorious Weekend

What a weekend. The kids spent a fun filled weekend in WV and PA with Lolo, Lola, Ninang & Mama Mer. According to everyone Dutch Wonderland was a smash hit. "I love it even MORE than Busch Gardens!" says Jujube. Because it rained they scored 6 free tickets for another visit. Monday morning they were sad to leave Lola & Lolo's.
The annual Diocesan Youth Conference was a success. 475 Catholic teens from all over the diocese and their chaperones descended upon downtown Richmond. It was Spirit filled and uplifting. And exhausting. But it was great to spend so much time in communion with other Catholics. I was busy helping out and running around so I didn't take many photos, but I will post the video and photos once they have been edited. It was awesome to share the experience with MFS and see all of the planning come to fruition. It was awesome to see so many priests, nuns and seminarians be present to the teens. It was awesome to be in the presence of the Eucharist. But I do have to say my favorite funny moment of the weekend was having dinner with 4 priests and the bishop. All by myself. MFS couldn't make it because of registration issues with the hotel so I was sent with the men in black and had a great time. I'm sure we were a sight.

No rest for the weary...next on the docket: work then surgery then kindergarten camp then visitors, then...well let's just get through next week.
