The kids have been great. My little turkeys seem to know when mama is out of whack. Much like after my previous surgeries, my usually suppressed neuroses comes out. I get panicky, break out into a cold sweat and nausea and dizziness (and tears) usually follow when I get the least bit overwhelmed. A trip to the library was all I could handle yesterday. Reading prize, new books and we were out. Today I tackled laundry, but the kids and I are still in pajamas. I consider it a small improvement.

Bottoms Up
Besides an unfortunate side effect from the spinal anesthesia called Transient Radicular Irritation (TRI), the surgery went well. Actually I am taking the pain meds more for the anesthesia effects rather than the incision itself. I am finally feeling more like myself and the TRI is wearing off thus sitting and blogging with minimal leg pain. If that is what restless leg syndrome is like, I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy.

Cazin and Jujube are sporting not only their reading prize, but Jujube is showing off her new big girl backpack from Lola & Lolo. We are ready for kindergarten camp AND to take advantage of the tax free shopping next weekend. All of the kids are getting so big I can hardly stand it. These days I find myself lingering in front of their baby photos. Time waits for no man...or mama.
