Fins to the Left

Only 28 more hours till MFS returns home! We have been filling our days with various activities to keep us busy and to try to ensure restful sleep. Today the Hull family invited us over for lunch and swimming after ballet camp. On the way home, the kids were asleep by the time I hit 29S. It was a round of firsts for everyone...Ella's first time in a pool, the first use of the handy WaterTot baby carrier so I have my hands free to make sure Cazin doesn't drown himself with his antics, Jujube's first time venturing past the pool steps and the first time in years that I was wearing a bathing suit that properly fit.

Though I was a crank star last week, a little rest has made all of us better behaved. I actually had my first real conversation with Cazin tonight. It concerned time out, but at least this time there was no screaming.

Mommy: Why did I put you in time out?
Cazin: I not nice.
Mommy: Yes. What did you do?
Cazin: Pull hair Ju-ya. Oww. Sa-wee Mommy.
Mommy: Do not pull your sister's hair again, understand?
Cazin: I undastan.
Mommy: Tell Ate (Jujube) sorry.
Cazin: Runs to Jujube and says "Sawee Ah-tuh!"

Hugging and giggling ensued and it warmed my heart.

I know this looks uncomfortable and I'm likely to get a call from Lola,
but Scrunchy Face likes to sleep like that.
