Birthday, take 3

From December to February it feels like the toy and gift wrapping section of Target erupts in the middle of our family room every few weeks. When your children are the only grandkids and it comes to birthday time, I have learned to go with the flow with numerous parcels, gift wrap and toy ties flying around, the loud squeals and shouts and adorable (annoying) toy sounds. On Saturday night, Ninang, Lola & Lolo and Grandma & Grandpa came over for a birthday dinner celebrating Cazin & Ella. I made my yummy lasagna, Jujube made the table decorations and Lola baked the cake. Unfortunately diocesan duties kept MFS from missing the festivities. Otherwise, it has been a quiet weekend in the house. The kids and I caught up on much needed rest. Today we had birthday cake for breakfast and plan to lounge around in our pajamas till Mass time tonight. It sure is hard to cut sweets out of the diet when we have so much celebrating going on!
Ella went crazy opening gifts. Julia, when helping me set up the playhouse: "Let's decorate a little more. Olivia's room needs a little encouragement."
The handiwork of Lola & Jujube
2 of our new friends: Rosie the pig and Pudgy the hedgehog. I want Pudgy for myself.
Even Jujube opened early birthday gifts
Cazin, how long is it? "Looks like 12 units."

I LOVE how you guys celebrate birthdays.

(PS - what is that thing J is holding? Looks like something Corena would love.)
