Grandparent's Day

This week was a doozy. Mike was away for half of the week and the children and I were riding the emotional roller coaster while he was gone. Thankfully Lola and Lolo came to the rescue on Friday when Jujube had Grandparent's Day at school. Weeks like this I usually am throwing my hands into the air asking "Why God, why??!!" but despite the craziness the first thing that popped into my head at bedtime was "Thank you God for being with me all day. Through my friends, through my kids, and through the quiet (though brief) moments." I had some good doses of humility this week and realized that we need to find some peace as we continue to transition as a family of 5. I am falling into my old habits of trying to do too much and the blessing of 3 beautiful children has been my reminder that daily life cannot wallow in my perceived personal failings and/or agenda. They remind me to be still. To take it easy. But mostly to live. Praise God for that.
