I knew that there was the potential to find more damage in the tooth once Dr. Sill "got in there," but I also have a healthy dose of denial. What started as a crown ended up as a root canal. If you are just tuning in, I cracked a tooth "very badly" which led to decay and nerve damage. Dr. Sill said I was just shy of horrible pain and losing it. (The tooth that is.) The whole process was really great actually. The only thing that almost made me have an accident in my pants was the flame thing at the end. I'm not in pain anymore and the local anesthetic is finally wearing off so that I don't have to call my mom the dietitian to put me on a dysphagia diet from having no movement on the left side of my face. If only I had been drooling...wait a minute...that may have happened. I'm glad no one except my fellow travelers on 64 were present to witness me attempting to eat fries and suck down a milkshake. I return 2 more times to complete the permanent crown process. From now on, I will look at lechon skin with a wary eye.
A big thanks to Grandma who came down to watch the kids these past 2 days. The kids were happy campers and way too excited to spend time away from me.

Glad it wasn't too bad. I'm currently on the "every year (or so)" schedule you used to be on. I hope that doesn't change anytime soon.
