Check and check

Our morning consisted of 2 things: Check-up and Check-list for school supplies. Our little Ellaroo is 18 months old! She is saying several words and phrases, running and copying the big kids. She can navigate the stairs solo. My favorite phrase is "tant to" which means thank you. And she sure can put on a show with her facial expressions. Ella by the numbers:
Height 32 inches (50%)
Weight 25 lb 2 oz (55%)
Head 47 cm (55%)
After Ella's check up we completed the Kindergarten school supply check list. I don't even want to think about what her supply list looks like a few years from now. It was a madhouse in Target, but we are done! The kids have been so great these past 2 crazy weeks that I did indulge one toy request. I was going to save buying pillow pets for Christmas, but I caved.
Mom, they are great for travel! It's a pillow. It's a pet. It's a pillow pet! I think she could fill in on the infomercial. I couldn't resist their excitement. They have asked for pillow pets for months. Cazin picked out the bee since yellow is his favorite color and we named him Buzz. Julia chose a purple and pink unicorn and we are currently under negotiations for a name. Sunshine, Sunny for short, Uni, or Magic. She is so ga-ga over this pillow pet I asked her if Frankie & TD are taking a back seat. She didn't even bring them in from the van when we got home. Her response: Frankie & TD are in the car because they know they will see me again since we are going to Williamsburg later.

On our way to Williamsburg Julia posed another one of her questions.

Mommy. I have a question for you. Why does everyone have a mother?

All babies grow in a mother's belly. That's why everyone has a mother.

Where do babies come from?

(Uh-oh) When a mommy and daddy are married they make a baby.

No. I don't understand. That's not my question.

What is your question?

Okay. This is my question. How do mother's come into this world?

From their mother's tummy...(Receiving a skeptical look in the rear view mirror.) I came from Lola and Lola came from Mama Mer. How do you think mother's come into this world?

Jesus sends them down. That's what I think.

That is pretty cool.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that caved on the pillow pets!! We are proud owners of a floppy bunny (Lila) and a penguin (Corena).

You may have come from Lola's belly, but no doubt you were sent straight from God.
