The fun never ends

Yesterday the Hickmans arrived from Texas and we took them around Crozet hitting our favorites: Chiles Peach Orchard and King Family Vineyards. The people at Chiles are great. Not only do they make amazing milkshakes, but we got a free lesson on peach picking. Our own little field trip. It was Cana & Ennie's anniversary, so that evening we enlisted the help of our babysitter and her sister to watch the 7 kids, ages 1.5 to 8 while the adults dined at the delicious Duner's (another one of our favorites) to celebrate. It was a joy to spend time with such a wonderful family. Julia, Cazin & Ella were thrilled to play with 4 new friends: Madeline, Dominic, Sophia and Avila. More festivities and tax-free shopping will commence when we meet them in Williamsburg tomorrow.

Day 3 & 4 of Kindergarten Camp were a success. Julia had a blast this week meeting new friends and getting to know her teachers. As we were leaving today Julia said, "My favorite place to be is at school." MFS told me, "Good, because she'll be there for the next 16 years." The next few weeks can't go by fast enough for her.

After the Hickmans left for Williamsburg we took a breather and spent a low key day at home napping, watching the storm and making peach cobbler.
